A little bit about me... - drneupertphotography
Reflection Lake Panorama HDR

Hello, and welcome to my website.  My name is Darren Neupert.  I am part adventurer and part wanderer with a passion for photography.  I call the Pacific Northwest my home but enjoy travelling to wherever my camera takes me.  Some of my most memorable road trips have taken me literally thousands of miles as I drive from the Pacific Northwest to places like Moab, Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Antelope Canyon in Page, AZ, and all points in between.  I shoot mostly landscapes but do enjoy wildlife and architectural work.  On rare occasion, I have been known to haunt The Pike Place Market in Seattle for some candid street photography.

I picked up my first camera. the Sony Alpha 100, in 2006.  I will confess, I wasn't all that interested in photography at the time.  I had purchased the camera to take along with me on business trips to Florida, Arizona, etc.  For the most part, and aside from basic snapshots, the camera sat on a shelf for years.  That is, until one day I brought it with me on a family outing to the Skagit Valley tulip fields.  That did it for me.  I was hooked and the rest is history.

I quickly realized the limitations of the Sony a100 and upgraded to my very first Nikon - the D5100.  Lenses were next and my oh my was that a learning curve.  Today, I shoot with a Nikon D800 and full compliment of lenses that best accommodate my style.

What's in Darren's bag?
